I
want you to be with me during the inspection.

We
encourage the home-buyer to participate in the home inspection process to avoid confusion and ambiguity. A well informed client
is our best customer
The home inspection process begins on the exterior surfaces of the home starting with the
roof surface, chimney, flashing, exterior siding materials, trim, the condition and type of foundation, along with the driveway
and garage. The topography of the land is taken into consideration for proper drainage. After completing the exterior
of the home the inspector proceeds to the the attic where the roofs sheathing is inspected for leaks. The attic insulation
is examined for type, amount and quantity along with the type of ventilation. In the basement we usually find the mechanical
systems, including the heating and electrical systems and drain/waste and vent piping. The interior foundation walls are
inspected for cracks and movement, along with the structural framing members i.e., floor joists, sills, header, sub-flooring,
bearing girder, columns and posts. The plumbing is inspected for functionality and leaks. The interior cosmetic
surfaces are viewed for structural and cosmetic flaws. The Home inspection process usually takes between two and three
hours. A written report is provided at the completion of the inspection along with a narrative explaining the results of the
inspection.
